Nigeria born British boxer, Anthony Joshua destroyed his Russian opponent Alexander Povetkin via Technical Knock Out in the seventh round of their unifying heavyweight fight in the iconic Wembley Stadium. in front of 85,000 rabid fans.
Anthony Joshua 28, cut Povetkin above his left eye with a punch in Round 4 before a combination of jabs and hooks send Povektin to the canvas on the seventh round to give the ruthless Joshua a TKO victory.
This is Povektin’s second defeat and the first via technical knock out. Anthony Joshua, whose next match is at same venue on April 13 has this to say after the thrilling bout, “Alexander Povetkin is a very tough challenger, He proved that tonight with good left hooks and counter punches, but I come in here to have fun, do what I work on in the gym and give my best.
