Your Excellency Sir,
Congratulations on your well-deserved victory in the gubernatorial election. I am grateful to God that you have triumphed after a consecutive three years. Your emergence truly represents the essence of democracy, as evident from the overwhelming support of Abians at the Umuahia Township stadium on the inauguration day, May 29, 2023. The joy on people’s faces was a clear sign of your acceptance.
You embody the hope of Ndi Abia, representing their aspirations for infrastructural development, regular payment of workers’ salaries, pensions, good road construction, and employment opportunities. I commend you for being the people’s choice and for the massive support you received during the elections.
As you begin your first term, I urge you to keep in mind that your performance during these four years will be crucial in determining whether Ndi Abia will vote for you again for another four years. The people of Abia are counting on you to deliver and make a positive impact.
I am writing to you not representing any political interest but as a concerned individual for the well-being of the poor, disappointed, and suffering masses in Abia state. I stand for good governance and hope to see Abia transformed into a better state.
It is crucial to avoid sycophants in your administration and focus on the work that needs to be done. Ndi Abia want to see you actively involved in project sites, commissioning roads, and engaging with investors to boost the state’s development.
Empowering the youth is vital for Abia’s progress. Consider providing soft loans to young entrepreneurs, encouraging business growth, and creating a conducive environment for businesses, especially in Aba.
The people of Abia need well-constructed roads with proper drainages to avoid water blockages. I commend you for ensuring regular payment of civil servants’ salaries, which boosts their morale and planning.
Through the Ministry of Trade and Investment, you can facilitate access to loans for business owners, further stimulating economic growth and development.
I write this letter out of love for Abia and the desire to see it flourish and become a benchmark for other states. Rest assured, I will continue to offer my honest feedback, whether positive or negative, with no strings attached.
Thank you, Sir, and may God bless you.
Sincerely,
Okechukwu Ubani
