Amoji-Imenyi cry out for help over collapsed bridge

The people of Amoji-Imenyi autonomous community in Bende Local Government Area (L.G.A.) have cried out for help owing to the collapse of Eme bridge.

Speaking with our reporter at Amoji-Imenyi, the traditional Prime Minister,  of the community Chief Chimaroke Ukandu decried the hardship the community is going through, noting that Eme bridge is the only linking road between their community and other neighbouring communities.

“We have been cut off from all socio-economic activities within our local government area and its suburbs due to the collapse of Eme Bridge accessioned by the heavy downpour that took place on the 6th October 2017. Since this ugly scenario, the community has experienced unprecedented hardship as our farm produce do not have any means of getting to the market” he lamented, calling on Governor Ikpeazu to come to their aid.

Contributing, the palace secretary, Amoji-Imenyi autonomous community, Chef John C. Ndulaka disclosed that about one quarter of all the food commodities sold in Eke Uzuakoli market come from Amoji-Imenyi alone, thus, craving the urgent attention of Abia State Government to alleviate the plight of their people.

They, however, hailed the Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu for his developmental strides in construction, reconstruction and rehabilitation works in Aba and other parts of the state while  calling on him to please come to their urgent rescue before things get worst in their community.
