All Set for Nigeria, Ukraine Friendly

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are set to play their first match after they defeated Tunisia 1-0 in Egypt to win the bronze at the 32nd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations.

They will take on the Yellow Blue of Ukraine at the Dnipro Arena by 7:30 tonight.

While the Super Eagles have not been active since July, their opponents have been active with Euro 2020 qualifiers.

Gernot Rohr will miss the services of players like Ahmed Musa, Wilfred Ndidi, Henry Onyekuru, Kenneth Omeruo and Tyronne Ebuehi due to injury or processing of work permit.

Ukraine manager, Andriy Schevchenko has said he will rest some of his players. Both teams are meeting for the first time. This match will afford the new invitees to the Super Eagles the opportunity to hold down a shirt in the team.

Nigeria will take on the Squirrels of Benin Republic in a 2021 AFCON qualifiers in November.
