Abia Guber: Alex Otti Clinches Labour Party Ticket, Says His Salary Will Go For Humanitarian Service

 

A two time Governorship Candidate in Abia State, Dr Alex Otti has emerged as the Governorship flag bearer for Labour party in Abia.

Dr Otti who recorded a landslide support from delegates,saw him being declared as the winner of the guber primaries, held in Umuahia, where he polled a total of 454 votes.

In his speech, the renowned Economist,said the growth of Abia is paramount to him, therefore,he would be giving up his salary for humanitarian work, promising to reduce the cost of governance in the state.

The Labour Party guber candidate,Dr Alex Otti, described his emergence as divine and stressed that no one can stop what God has ordained.

According to Otti, his victory at the general elections will launch Abia into another phase of development with all the working indices,urging Abians to move with courage.

“I will clear all arrears owed to workers within my first one year in office.The issues bothering Abia requires managerial acumen, as such,i will attract investors with already infrastructural investment and i will create ease of doing business, as well create jobs”.

Otti further promised to lay more emphasis on the healthcare of the citizenry, while pledging to ensure a free and accessible education to both primary, secondary and tertiary school students.

“I will build a hospital city and embark on agricultural programs that will sustain food security in our state.

“Another important message you must take home is to inform your everyone about the good news of today, secondly, use the remaining three weeks to register for the INEC Permanent Voter Cards, if you have not done so”,he added.

Meanwhile, Dr Otti described Labour Party as the natural home for workers and vibrant populace, calling for the cooperation of Abians for the success of the movement.
