The Akwa Ibom State Commissioner of Police, Waheed Ayilara is dead.
It was gathered that Ayilara died early this morning, Thursday, 29 August 2024 at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja after a prostate cancer surgery that took place on Wednesday, 28 August 2024.
An insider source said the late CP was hale and hearty on Monday, 26 August 2024, during the pull-out ceremony for Assistant Inspector General of Police Yetunde Longe.
It was further gathered that Ayilara who was a devout Muslim will be buried today, Thursday, 29 August, 2024 in accordance with Islamic rites.
