The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Akwa Ibom State chapter, Mr. Udo Ekpenyong is reportedly dead.
A party stakeholder who pleaded anonymity told our correspondent in Uyo that he died early hours of Tuesday, 19th January 2021 due to COVID-19 complications.
The late Chairman and former Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftain Affairs in the State was elected as the PDP State Chairman less than one year ago.
The State government as at press time is yet to issue official statement regarding the incident.
