Aide restates Otti’s Labour Party membership

 

The Deputy Chief of Staff (office of the deputy governor), Abia State, Hon. Chijioke Nwankwo has dispelled speculations of Governor Otti’s possible defection from the Labour Party.

Speaking when he received the leadership of the Labour Party in Abia North Senatorial Zone on a courtesy visit, Barr. Nwankwo restated categorically that Governor Otti remains a bonafide member of the Labour Party with no intention of leaving.
Hon Nwankwo rather called on Labour Party members to remain supportive and prayerful for the success of the Otti’s administration.

He applauded the governor’s developmental strides in the state and urged all party stakeholders to rally behind the governor’s vision for progress and good governance of the state.

Barr Nwankwo expressed his deep appreciation for their visit while commending their continued commitment to the party, assured them of his unparalleled support in repositioning the Labour Party as a formidable political force ahead of the next general elections.

He reassured them of his willingness to work closely with party executives at all levels to achieve the set goals.

Speaking earlier, the leader of the delegation and the state deputy party Chairman, Chief Okey Ijoma, said that the primary purpose of the visit was to formally congratulate Hon. Nwankwo, the immediate past Mayor of Bende LGA, on his well-deserved appointment as the Deputy Chief of Staff. Chief Ijeoma stated that the visit would provide them an opportunity to deliberate on party affairs and strategies for strengthening the Labour Party in Abia North and map out plans for future political engagements
