The Teranga Lions of Senegal commenced their group B encounter against the Warriors of Zimbabwe with a 1-0 victory after Sadio Mane converted a last minute penalty.
The Warriors lived up to their name and gave Senegal a good run for their money. They do not deserve to leave the pitch empty handed judging by their dogged effort from the blast of the whistle.
Zimbabwe will now hope to make amends when they take on Malawi on Friday while Senegal will hope to get their second three points when they take on Guinea the same day.
