Admin officers elects Ogbonna as new President

Newly elected President of the Admin Officers Association of Nigeria, Abia state chapter, Mr Iyke Ogbonna has promise to focus seriously on capacity building by ensuring regular training and retraining of members for improve performances.

Mr. Ogbonna who stated this shortly after emerging winner of the keenly contested Admin officers’ election held at the premises of Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Umuahia said that part of his blueprint would be to partner with professional bodies to mount training programmes for members desirous of improving their skills through granting of rebates as well as working in league with other members of his Executive to achieve better results.

He expressed gratitude to God for the confidence people reposed on him and promised to operate a direct touch policy of reaching out to their members on individual basis to ascertain how they are faring in their various Ministries and Parastatals.

The new Admin officers President who is also the Director of Administration, office of the deputy governor further assured that he would liaise with the Permanent Secretaries to help build bridges of understanding that would give all a sense of belonging.

He however extended a hand of fellowship to his fellow contestants who he said would equally be carried along to head committees that would embark on reforms in the Admin in addition to reaching out to government to help them with logistics and other welfare issues confronting the Association.
