Actress, MaryJane Iheukwumere unveiled as MBQA model

Upcoming actress, Iheukwumere Oluebubechi MaryJane has been unveiled as one of models to be featured in the Most Beautiful Queen in Abia  (MBQA) 2020.
She will join other recognized models within and across the nation for the event which has been themed, “Fight against Girl Child abuse”.  The event which is co-sponsored by the Abia State government has been scheduled to start on October 18, 2020 with its grand finale on October 24, 2020 at Luxury City Hotel Aba Abia State.  The second edition of this event which has also be christened, the entrepreneurship edition will also feature a walk against girl child abuse, cooking competition among others.
This would be the first of its kind festival coming in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to the promoter and the MD/CEO Gif Mag Concept, (Nig.) Mr. Godwin Ifeanyi Ferdinand, all Covid-19 laid down precautionary protocols will be strictly be adhered to in the course of the event.
MaryJane Iheukwumere has continued to stand out with her rare ingenuity, modest accomplishment and recognitions.
The actress cum entrepreneur was born November 3, 1996, made her debut in the Nigeria film industry with the movie, ‘My Blood’ at the age, 20.
She has since featured also in other movies like ‘Free Love’, ‘Our Land’, among others.
Mary Jane, who hails from Eluama, Uzuakoli in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State is an alumnus of Abia State University, Uturu (ABSU).
She graduated in the year 2019 with B.Sc. (Honours) in Computer Science, also contested for the Face of Africa Beauty, attended the famous Practicing School Uzuakoli from 2000 to 2006, proceeded to St. Mary Magdalene Anglican Girls’ Seminary Ubakala Umuahia Abia State where she obtained her West African Senior School Certificate with good grades.
The catholic Par Excellence, served meritoriously as a Chief Librarian of Nigeria  Federation of Catholic Students (NFCS) in ABSU in 2017/2018 academic session and also as the Vice President of St. Augustine Catholic Chaplaincy choir.
Interacting further with National Ambassador, Miss MaryJane Iheukwumere revealed that her passion in life is to see the girl child given the right support, opportunities and protection to emerge and compete favourably in an evolving world.
She further disclosed Genevieve Nnaji as her role model, while listing her dislikes to include; intimidation and pretense whereas her likes include; singing, cooking, acting among others.
MaryJane disclosed that she is not in any relationship.
Speaking with the promoter, Mr. Godwin Ifeanyi, he maintained that the main aims of the event is to improve and create balance in the social life of the youths, harness and showcase talents, fight youth restiveness among youths, encourage creativity and self-reliance and promote educational and moral values of the society among others.
He urged youths to shun idleness and take responsibility through creative ventures otherwise they will end up a liability to the society.
He called on well- meaning Nigerians to partner with GifMag Concept as they are committed to making Nigeria and the entire Africa a better place through various programmes.
