ABSU VC Charges Matriculants To Shun illicit Acts

The Vice-Chancellor, Abia State University Uturu (ABSU), Abia State Prof. Onyemachi Maxwell Ogbulu has charged newly matriculated students of the institution to shun illicit acts capable of endangering their lives and studies.

The Vice-Chancellor who stated this recently in the institution during the 39th matriculation ceremony of the university urged the 6,467 matriculatled students to remain focus in their academic pursuit, congratulating them for gaining admission into the institution.
Ogbulu further thanked the Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu for his tireless efforts in keeping the University afloat amidst paucity of funds, disclosing that the university has not lost any single day of academic study under the governor’s administration.
The 8th Vice Chancellor of the University also thanked the University management and students for being compliant to the COVID-19 safety protocols, expressing hope that the pandemic would soon be a thing of the past.
Administering the Matriculation Oath to the students, the University’s Registrar, Dr Acho Elendu enjoined students to exhibit good attitudinal depositions wherever they find themselves and abide by the University rules and regulations.
In their separate remarks, Miss Ezinne Goddy, and Miss Maduka Jessica expressed joy for the opportunity to study the course of their choices, pledging to exhibit good moral values within and outside the University.
