ABSSAA Boss Lauds NIPR for Bridging Leadership, Public Trust

The Managing Director/CEO of the Abia State Signage and Advertisement Agency (ABSSAA), Mrs. Victoria Onwubiko, has commended the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) for its pivotal role in shaping narratives, strengthening institutions, and bridging the gap between leadership and the public.

Mrs. Onwubiko made the remarks while receiving the leadership of the NIPR Abia State Chapter, who paid a courtesy visit to the agency in Umuahia. She described Public Relations practitioners as the “silent architects of trust, reputation, and strategic communication,” emphasizing the need for sustained professionalism in the field.

Highlighting the responsibilities of ABSSAA, the MD/CEO noted that the agency is charged with driving public enlightenment, fostering responsible citizenship, and promoting positive development narratives. She urged members of the NIPR in Abia to continue to uphold the ethics of integrity, accuracy, and strategic foresight, while being guided by truth and the interests of both the state and the nation.

Earlier in his remarks, the Chairman of the NIPR Abia State Chapter, Deacon Felix Olunkwa, said the visit was to formally acknowledge and appreciate the exceptional leadership and transformational strides of Mrs. Onwubiko at ABSSAA. He described signage and outdoor advertising as critical tools in shaping public perception and enhancing the business and development environment.

Deacon Olunkwa also extended a formal invitation to Mrs. Onwubiko to join the institute through the state chapter, noting that her professional background, influence, and commitment align with the core values of the NIPR.

In her contribution, the Vice Chairman of the chapter, Lady Adaeze Iroegbu, lauded the performance of ABSSAA under Mrs. Onwubiko’s leadership, describing it as a clear reflection of Governor Alex Otti’s vision for innovation and excellence in public service. She further praised Mrs. Onwubiko’s strategic leadership, noting that her experience as a seasoned banker and Public Relations expert is being put to remarkable use in her current role.
