I think this is the first in political history that somebody went to war with his people and fought the battle gallantry, lost and still gathered his people here to thank them for the support of his quest for Arochukwu/ Ohafia Federal Constituency. Honestly, this is something unusual, Abiriba want to show people how politics should be done”.
He reminded politicians that politics should not be a do or die affairs, “If you lost out in any contest, don’t get angry and forget every other person.
Politics should be, carry people along whether there is victory or defeat”.
He pointed out that the event was Chief Jumbo and Abiriba people’s own way of saying thank you to the good people of Arochukwu-Ohafia Federal Constituency especially those people who “supported us and those who back our aspiration which is honest aspiration base on historical fact including the fact we are the only community in the whole of Arochukwu Ohafia federal Constituency that are yet to produce federal house member.
“We thought that our brothers from this Constituency would have been kind enough to focus on fairness and equity but they decided otherwise and we accepted it as good party people.
“We are here to celebrate all our people including those from Arochukwu, Ohafia Nkporo and Ihechiowa and all those who backed our aspiration with other party men. We appreciate them for the support they gave to the ancient people of Abiriba and the People’s Democratic Party.
“This is our own way of sending signal that Abiriba is strongly PDP and they are going to make sure that everybody is carried along in the quest of ensuring we win all the elective positions.
Respectively, the PDP Chairman Ohafia LGA, Hon. Emmanuel Agwu Ukpong and Chairman, ABSU Governing Board, Chief Mba Ukariwe appreciated Chief Jumbo for hosting the Constituency and maintained that Abiriba remains and speaks the PDP language.
