Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has announced plans for the state government to collaborate with the Korean government in the development of the Agricultural sector.
Governor Ikpeazu who disclosed this at Government House Umuahia while playing host to the Korean Ambassador to Nigeria Mr LEE IN-TAE,said Abia has a lot to learn from the Republic of Korea in the development of Small and Medium Enterprises among others.
He noted that the Republic of Korea has done well in the development of Technology, Infrastructure and Education adding that 25 Abia Youths will soon be sent Abroad to gain knowledge in automobiles so as to fit into the 21st century vehicles.
Ikpeazu who informed the Korean Ambassador of the plans of his administration to establish an Agro Industrial park at Ubani Ibeku, Umuahia North local government area,said that the state has taken delivery of the first sets of shoe making equipments for full automation.
Speaking earlier, the Korean Ambassador to Nigeria Mr LEE IN-TAE,announced the intention of the republic of Korea to collaborate with the state government in the areas of science and technology to rebuild the state economy.
Describing Abia State as the most peaceful state in Nigeria, the Korean Ambassador acknowledged that Abia is blessed with a lot potentials,noting that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu is doing well as an accomplished academic.
