Abia target top most position as investors destination

Abia State Deputy Governor, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu says the present administration is poised in making Abia, investors haven as part of its commitment to diversify the state economy.

Sir Oko Chukwu who stated this during a special thanksgiving service held in his honour at the Matei Dei Catholic Cathedral, Umuahia,Abia State,assured that the state will in future years surpass its current 3rd position among states that received the highest number of foreign investors into the country with the great emphasis being put in the promotion of SMES development across the state.

The deputy governor used the service to congratulate children of Matei Dei Cathedral and other children in the state on the celebration of this year’s Children’s Day and implored them to remain obedient to their parents, teachers and all constituted authorities to enable them become better leaders of tomorrow.

He disclosed that he decided to specially thank God for all the good deeds bestowed on his life and family and appreciated the church for their support so far and called for their sustained prayers.

In his homily, titled ” Jesus gives us peace “, the Cathedral Administrator of Matei Dei Catholic Cathedral, Umuahia, The Rev. Father, David Aguleri,attributed the upsurge in number of Nigerians committing suicide mission to the untiring quest for materialism ,warning that the peace offered by the world are often repleted with frustrations, anxiety and depression and urged all to embrace the Christlike peace which is eternal.
