Abia State to Host 2026 NIESV National Conference

The Abia State Branch of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) has been officially awarded the hosting rights for the prestigious 2026 NIESV National Conference, scheduled to take place in April 2026.

The Deputy Governor of Abia State, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu FNSE, expressed delight over the development when members of the Institution’s State Chapter paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House, Umuahia, to formally present the conference flag, signifying the official handover of the hosting rights.

While receiving the delegation, the Deputy Governor reiterated the readiness of the Governor Alex Otti-led administration to support initiatives that positively impact the development of the state. He encouraged the organizers to ensure that the upcoming conference is both colorful and memorable, highlighting the opportunity it presents for showcasing the state’s progress and hospitality.

In her remarks, the Chairman of the Abia State Branch, ESV Uche Ikoro FNIVS RSV, commended the state government for its commitment to creating a conducive environment for business and professional activities. She expressed confidence that the 2026 conference would be a resounding success and a defining moment for the institution in the state.
