Abia State Government Seeks LG Service Commission Support

The Chairman and members of the Local Government Service Commission in Abia State have been reminded of the need to key into the vision and mission of the present Administration, ably led by Governor Alex Otti, for progress both at the grassroots and the state in general.

 

The Secretary to the State Government, Professor Kenneth Kalu, who stated this when he received the Chairman and members of the Local Government Service Commission who paid a courtesy visit to his office, maintained that Governor Otti is focused on rebuilding the state for the benefit of all, adding that he is currently rebuilding schools, health centers, and reconstructing roads, among others, to make the state comfortable for all.

He congratulated them on their appointment, adding that whatever they will do to improve the living standard of the people, especially those at the grassroots, will be highly appreciated.

He assured them that their challenges will be looked into with a view to tackling them.

Earlier in his speech, the leader of the group and Chairman, Local Government Service Commission, Elder James Nwokocha, said the visit was to appreciate the Governor for finding them fit to serve, assuring that they will continue to support the present Administration in taking the state to vintage heights.

 

In a vote of thanks, the former Mayor of Ukwa East LGA, Lady Ngozi Nwagbara, expressed satisfaction with the ongoing developmental strides of the Governor and enumerated some of their challenges, to include lack of vehicles, finance, among others, and pledged their unalloyed support to the present Administration.
