This is the brand new Zone 9 Headquarters of the Nigeria Police at Umuahia, the Abia State Capital.
This befitting edifice is built from the scratch by the Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu administration.
The Zone 9 Police Command has for several years operated from a temporary accommodation in Umuahia. Those who are familiar with that place at the Ehimiri Housing Estate will agree that it wasn’t a befitting place for such a top Command of the Police formation, with several of their offices scattered in different buildings.
With this, the entire command will operate from one solid building, equipped with all necessary amenities.
Located in the serene Ogurube Layout of Umuahia, this will definitely improve operational efficiency, administrative efficacy and coordination. The officers and men of this Command will work in a better organized, cleaner and more comfortable environment, henceforth.
This is yet another another stride by the Ikpeazu administration in our quest to ensure that the security of lives and properties of the people of Abia State and other states under the Zone 9 Command receive adequate attention.
