The Executive Governor of Abia State Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, (OFR), has
approved the constitution of a Judicial Panel of Inquiry on the Recovery of Government Properties and Funds belonging to Abia State.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government , Professor Kenneth Kalu and addressed to Hon. Justice Florence Ihwuoma Duroha-Igwe.
The document as obtained National Ambassador online titled
APPOINTMENT AS CHAIRMAN OF THE JUDICIAL PANEL OF INQUIRY ON THE RECOVERY OF GOVERNMENT PROPERTIES AND FUNDS names the members of the panel to include:
Hon Justice Florence Ikwuoma Duroha-Igwe, Chairman, Prof. Ogwo Ekeoma Ogwo, member Prof. Ursula Ngozi Akanwa, member, Mazi Ugochukwu Okoroafor, member and Rev. Fr. Barr. Alex Okonkwo.
The statement revealed that the Terms of Reference (TOR) as well as date of the inauguration of the Panel will be duly communicated to those concerned.
The set up of the Judicial Panel of Inquiry on the Recovery of Government Properties and Funds belonging to Abia State may not be unconnected to several allegations that former appointees and the immediate past government carted away with some government property.
