Abia PDP resolve crisis, reinstate Chairman

The Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) Abia State Chapter has resolved its internal crisis that
led to the suspension of its chairman, Chief Johnson Onuigbo .

Chief Onuigbo was last week suspended by members of the state working committee ( SWC) boarding on sundry allegations of high handedness, lack of transparent and accountability among other issues.

At a media briefing at the state party Secretariat, Umuahia and also attended by some members of the SWC , Chief Onuigbo said that the issues that led to his suspension have been resolved stating that there is no more division within the party as they are poised now as members of one family to approach the 2019 election with a view of ensuring the victory of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and other PDP candidates.

He attributed the ruptured crisis to handiwork of mischief makers envy of peace and resoluteness in the party stating that the enemy is never happy where there is peace.

The party Chairman commended the timely intervention of the state leader and the governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu that led to the quickly resolution of the crisis and assured that they would avoid any acts that would derail the resounding victory the party would record in 2019.

Chief Onuigbo assured that PDP as members of one family has resolved its difference and therefore remained intact and prepared for the electioneering campaign and elections.

He cautioned the opposition parties in the state still engulfed by series of crisis not to rejoice over the little storm in the PDP tea cup boasting that they have buried their hatchets and now prepared to deliver their qualified candidate and standard bearer, Dr Ikpeazu to win the 2019 governorship election.

The state party Chairman said to prove the free, fair and transparent nature of its conducted primary, no aspirants defected from the party as Abia PDP apart from remained most peaceful but always provide a level playing ground for all the contestants hence no ill feeling among any of them to dump the party.

Also contributing , the state Vice Chairman Abia North and a former House of Assembly member, Hon Mathew Ibe assured the people that the party is intact and that they would retract the communiqué signed earlier which purportedly suspended the state PDP Chairman.
