Abia Newspapers Repositioning: Abia Commissioner Fulfils Promise

In fulfilment of the promise made by the Commissioner for Information in Abia State Barr Eze Chikamnayo, to reposition the state owned newspaper, Abia Newspapers and Publishing Corporation and create a conducive environment for staff of the Corporation to function optimally, structural works have commenced in the office.

National Ambassador reporter who monitored the progress of work reported that painting of the Corporation’s fence is in progress.

In an interview with the Commissioner on the development, Barr Chikamnayo said the State government was not going back in restructuring and repositioning the Corporation for better.

The Information Boss disclosed that the total reroofing of the Newspaper office will commence next week.

He added that the Corporation’s hall will also be roofed and converted to an Event Center to generate more income for the Corporation and increase their revenue.

He further disclosed that Abia Newspapers and Publishing Corporation environment will be cleared and landscaped for open air events and to beautify the environment.

Chikamnayo, urged staff of the Corporation to put in their best to realize the mandate of the Newspaper house.

He described Governor Okezie Ikpeazu as the rebuilder of the state who is working tirelessly to rebuild all sectors of Abia economy ,while assuring them of better days under Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.

Recall, that the Commissioner had during his visit to Abia Newspapers and Publishing Corporation recently promised to reposition and restructure the State media house.
