The Chairman, House Committee on Public Service, Abia State House of Assembly (ABHA), Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr has built and handed over a bungalow his constituent; Mr. Nwanguma Jajah.
Commissioning the bungalow house project at Ntigha Umuaro, Obingwa Local Government Area (LGA), Abia state yesterday, the immediate past member that represented Obingwa-West State constituency, ABHA, Barr. Thomas Nkoro thanked God for using Erondu Jnr to build and furnish the house for a less privileged in his constituency.
He also thanked the Legislator for distributing 1200 bags of fertilizer to his constituents to boost food security and food production in Abia state and Nigeria at large.
Hon. Nkoro who further commended Erondu Jnr for his strides in the past eight months at ABHA, also prayed God to continue to keep him physically and mentally fit in the line of duty of adding value to humanity.
Earlier in his speech, the Director-General (DG), Igodo Igwe Foundation, Hon. Chidiebere Ihinyirimadu (Jato), thanked the lawmaker for his commitments towards uplifting members of his constituency.
On the fertilizer distribution in the Lawmaker’s Constituency, he disclosed that they didn’t come to canvas for votes but to thank them for keeping faith with their party against all odds.
Ihinyirimadu further expressed hope that the lawmaker will not relent in serving the people of Obingwa, urging them to continue to support Erondu Jnr.
In his response, the beneficiary of Erondu Jnr gift of Bungalow House, Mr. Nwanguma Jajah, thanked Erondu Jnr for the house gift, praying God to reward him bountifully.
Meanwhile, women across the Obingwa-West State constituency have thanked the Abia lawmaker for the free distribution of 1,200 bags of fertilizer to 42 Autonomous communities in their constituency, adding that it came at the right time when planting season just started.
In their separate remarks, women leaders of Osaa Ukwu autonomous community; Mrs. Christiana Adiele, Umuopara Amuzu autonomous community, Mrs. Fyne Okpo, Umuomei autonomous community; Mrs. Paulina Ndubueze, Mgboko Oke Ngwa autonomous community; Mrs. Ijeoma Jephta, Mgboko Oma autonomous community; Mrs. Happiness Ijomah, Akanu Umuorie autonomous community; Mrs. Eunice Adiele, Itu Ngwa autonomous community; Mrs. Victoria Oke, Isiala Itu autonomous community; Mrs. Chinyere Njoku among others, thanked the Uhie-born legislator for his passion to assist women to enhance food security.
They promised their continued support to the Lawmaker’s endeavour, adding that they would use the fertilizer judiciously to improve their yield.
Meanwhile, the founder, Igodo Igwe Foundation and the member representing Obingwa-West State constituency, Erondu Uchenna Erondu thanked his constituents for the confidence reposed in hin, expressed through their votes during the 2023 general elections.
He said that he would not take them for granted adding that he would continue to do everything at his disposal to continuously attract dividends of democracy to his constituency.
He further disclosed that the fertilizer was meant for all the women in his constituency irrespective of political party membership.
Information gathered revealed that Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr had earlier shared palliatives to his constituents during the COVID 19 pandemic lockdown, thus; easing the sufferings of his people, while the number of houses built and gifted to less privileged people, including Persons Living With Disabilities (PLWDs), are now 42.
