Abia Lawmaker Erondu Jnr, Announces 6th Edition of Free JAMB Registration Students

The lawmaker representing Obingwa West State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr., has announced the 6th edition of his annual Free JAMB Registration initiative for eligible students in the constituency.

The physical registration exercise is scheduled to hold on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Osusu Amaukwa Community Secondary School, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

According to a release signed by his Spokesperson, George Egejuru and made available to newsmen today, the programme is part of Erondu Jnr.’s sustained commitment to promoting access to education and easing the financial burden on parents and guardians across Obingwa West.

The Chairman, House Committee on Public Service Matters reaffirmed his dedication to youth empowerment and educational advancement, urging interested candidates to take full advantage of the opportunity.

The initiative, now in its sixth edition, has benefited hundreds of students in previous years, enabling them to sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) without registration costs.

Students from Obingwa West (Uhie) State Constituency who wish to benefit from the scheme have been encouraged to attend the physical registration with the necessary academic details and relevant documents.

Stakeholders in the constituency have commended the initiative, describing it as a strategic investment in the future of young people and a demonstration of responsive representation.
