The Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, has charged the new executive members of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relation, NIPR, Abia State Chapter, to imbibe the leadership culture of productivity in the state.
Kalu, who stated this in his office recently, when the newly elected members of the NIPR, paid him a courtesy visit, congratulated the new executive for their successful election, charged the institute not to condole quack, adding that the institute should work in synergy to promote peace and harmony amongst themselves.
He assured them of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s readiness to support the institute in getting to a greater height, adding that his administration would work with the NIPR in promoting the good image of the state.
The Information boss advised the NIPR to carry every body along, especially those who lost in the election.
He urged them to make effort in occupying the number one seat of the institute, while he administered the state director of Information to ensure that all public relation officers in the state are registered members of NIPR.
Earlier, the newly elected Chairman of NIPR, Comrade Anyaso Anyaso, said that the institute came to felicitate with the commissioner on his reappointment and to also commend his effort so far in making sure that the aim in which the institution was established is achieved.
Anyaso said that the institute, as a professional body, is saddled with the responsibility of managing the image of the organization by building trust and understanding between leaders.
In a vote of thanks, a member of the NIPR, Bob Amanze, assured that the new executives will work in synergy to move the institute forward and also thanked the commissioner for the warm reception accorded to them.
