The Head of Service (HoS) of Abia State, Mr. Benson Ojeikere, has charged civil servants to demonstrate professionalism and strive for excellence as the state government intensifies the ongoing overhaul of the public service.
Mr. Ojeikere gave the charge while addressing civil servants, urging them to deliver high-quality and error-free work in their respective roles. He emphasized that consistent excellence and timely execution of tasks are essential for building a strong professional reputation and fostering public trust in the service.
Highlighting the importance of accountability and efficiency, the Head of Service directed the Bureau of Common Services and Service Monitoring to rigorously oversee the implementation of government policies and programmes to ensure set targets are achieved.
He reiterated that transforming the civil service into a model of excellence and integrity requires collective commitment, and called on the workforce to actively contribute to making the service a dependable and trusted institution.
