Abia Head Of Service, Sir Onyii Wamah Calls For Collective Action To End Coronvirus

Abia Head Of Service. Sir Onyii  Wamah 

The Head of Service in Abia State Sir. Onyii Wamah, has joined well meaning Abians to provide palliatives to the vulnerable and the down trodden in the state to alleviate the effects of the novel coronavirus pandemic on them.

Wamah, who distributes bag’s of rice , crates of eggs, hand sanitizers, face mask, and some cash donations to the people of Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area of the state, said that it is his own way of contributing to the fight against the spread of Covid -19 and called for all to help the state government to cushion the effects of the virus on the people.

According to him, “this pandemic is a global issue that needs collective action to end it”.

” I will advise that everyone heed to the instructions of health experts and  the state government directives of regular hand washing with soap under running water, use of alcohol based sanitizers, maintaining social distancing as well as putting on face mask to avoid spreading of the virus to our love ones”.

On the issue of lockdown and curfew, Wamah, maintained that these directives from state government were not meant to punish anybody but a government concerted efforts geared towards spreading of the virus and at the same time wait while our health professionals finds an end to the pandemic.

Recall that, Wamah had in the past extended this kind of palliatives measures to 10 chuches in Isiala Ngwa South LGA including his home country of Umunkpei.
