Son of former Abia Deputy Governor, Engr. Enyinnaya Nwafor, today declared his intention to contest the 2023 Gubernatorial Election under the Young Progressive Party(YPP) with a pledge to ensure massive development of the state.
The Official Declaration and Unveiling of the party’s candidates for 2023 elections, which took place at the Ngwa High School Aba had in attendance the Deputy Governorship candidate of the party, Dr Chima Anyaso, former ALGON Chairman, Micheal Ibe Nwoke,poineer director of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), Chief Chukwu Wachuku, among others and featured presentation of flags to candidates of the party.
Addressing a Mammoth crowd of supporters, Nwafor while articulating his agenda to include: Women and Youth inclusion in governance, Education, Security, robost economy, massive wealth creation, and all round development of the state,promised to turn around the fortunes of the state if elected.
The YPP Guber Candidate who said he had hitherto engaged in meticulous preparation for the governorship position of Abia State since 7 years, urged Abians to expect more from him if elected.
He said: “I want to assure you that we will create wealth in this team. There is going to be massive infrastructural revolution in Abia state. As an Engineer, i know what it takes and i will do it.
“I want to pledge that a new thing will happen in Abia State. Come 2023, we would restore the dignity of man in Abia. We will do everything humanly possible to wipe away the tears of teachers, civil servants, youths and the people of Abia.
“We will make Abia the best developed state in the South East. I want to pledge that we will not fail you,a new thing will happen in Abia come 2023”,he said.
The Guber Candidate of the YPP thanked the people for the show of love and support towards him and urged them to remain resolute in the their support for the party.
National Chairman of the Party,Comrade Bishop Amakiri, while noting that “the YPP is the ship that would take the people to the eldorado they seek”, urged the people to arm themselves with their permanent voters card in order to participate in the 2023 general elections.
He said: “I feel excited that i find myself among progressive minds that have come out to witness the wind of paradigm shift.
“I assure you that when the party guber candidate emerge successfully at the poll, he will deliver but if they fain to deliver,i will personally lead a revolution to ensure that the people get the dividends of democracy”.
