Abia Govt To Tackle Problems Confronting Ntigha Community

 

 

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has assured the people of Ntigha in Isialangwa North local government area that his administration will systematically
address some of the problems confronting the community.

 

Governor Ikpeazu gave the assurance at the palace of the Chairman Abia state Council of Traditional rulers , Eze Ndubuisi Nwabeke during the celebration of his 70th birthday Anniversary and 22nd year on the throne in Obingwa Village, Eziama Ntigha, Isialangwa North LGA.

 

The Governor who thanked the people of Ntigha for their support and love for him since 2015,advised them to set up a Works Committee to be headed by the member representing Isialangwa North state constituency, Chief Ginger Onwusibe, and come up with list of roads yearning for attention.

Governor Ikpeazu felicitated the Chairman Abia state Council of Traditional rulers and traditional ruler of Eziama Ntigha Autonomous Community, Eze Ndubuisi Nwabeke on his 70th birthday anniversary and 22nd years on the throne.

He noted that attaining 70 years is not a mean feat especially now that life expectancy in Nigeria has reduced to 50years adding that celebrating 70 years and 22 years on the throne in good health is something to thank God for and prayed that God will continue to guide and guard the traditional ruler as he ages gracefully.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the occasion and Former Deputy Governor, Chief Eric Acho Nwakanma described the celebrations as evidence of God’s faithfulness on the royal father and the people.

He prayed God to grant the royal father more fruitful years ahead and sustain the peace in his kingdom.

Presenting an address on behalf of the Ntigha people, the Chairman organizing committee, Nze Moses Nwogwugwu thanked the Governor for finding Eze Ndubuisi Nwabeke fit to lead Abia state traditional rulers council and described the occasion as a double celebration.

He assured that the community will continue to support the development-oriented administration of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and congratulated the celebrant.

 

The event also featured the conferment of Chieftaincy Title of “Ikoro Ukwu Abia’ on Governor Okezie Ikpeazu by the Abia state council of traditional rulers and Chieftaincy Title of “Ubazuoke 1 of Abia” on the speaker Abia House of Assembly Chief Chinedum Orji among other distinguished Nigerians.

Present at the ceremony include,the Deputy Governor, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu, The Member representing Isialangwa North and South Chief Darlington Nwokocha,his Arochukwu/Ohafia counterpart Chief Uko Nkole, the speaker Abia House of Assembly Chief Chinedum Orji and other members of the state House of Assembly, the SSG Mr Chris Ezem, prominent stakeholders and leaders in the Abia polity including the pioneer Chairman of NDDC Chief Onyema Ugochukwu, Col Austin Akobundu,Former PDP Chairman,Emma Nwaka, Rtd,Chief Okey Emeuche and host of others.
