Abia Govt Reaffirms Commitment To Boost MSMEs Growth As Aba Vendors Hub Holds Trade Fair

 

The Abia State Government has reiterated its commitment to supporting Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), as part of its economic revitalization agenda.

 

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Trade, Commerce, and Industry, Chief Nwaka Inem, who reiterated this during the grand finale of the three day “Aba Vendors Hub Trade Fair”, held in Osisioma, Aba said Governor Alex Otti is creating opportunities for entrepreneurs and providing the necessary infrastructure to support their expansion.

Chief Inem further emphasized the present administration’s efforts to enhance business growth through increased exposure, security and the provision of enabling environment for entrepreneurs to thrive.

 

We will go everything to make sure that the average small business owner in Aba consolidates and grows.

“We will make sure that the environment for doing businesses will be improved like we are already working on and above all Governor Alex Otti is committed to the security of life and property in Abia state.

“The Government will help you to make sure that your talents are exposed to the world and to the nation”, he said.

Chief Inem, who was conducted round the fair, in company of the wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs Adaeze Emetu, lauded the participants for their ingenuity and quality of the goods on display, noting that he was thrilled because many of the products were made in Aba and encouraged small business owners to remain steadfast.

 

The message we have for all Aba people is that whatever little thing you are doing, in whatever little way, give it all your attention and concentration.

 


With proper exposure, of which the government of Abia state is working assiduously to provide, you will receive enough patronage that will grow your business.

 

The only thing the government can do for you is to create the right enabling environment for you to showcase your talents, to showcase your ingenuity and to showcase your business prowess so that you can grow and prosper”, Chief Inem said.

Chief Inem who used the opportunity to announce the upcoming Aba International Trade Fair, slated for November 28th to December 7th, 2024, said the event sponsored by the Abia State Government in collaboration with the Aba Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture, promises to offer another opportunity for MSMEs to gain wider exposure.

 

He encouraged the organizers and participants of the mini trade fair to collaborate and participate in the international trade fair as a group and jointly showcase their products to meet the expected higher standards assuring the states continuous support.

He expressed optimism that with the state government’s continued support, small businesses in Aba and across the state would grow and contribute significantly to the state’s economic development.

 

Earlier while conducting the Governor’s Aide round the trade fair, the Organizer of the Aba Vendors Hub Trade Fair, Mrs. Alozie Akudo noted that the three day trade fair which kicked off on October 4, provides a platform for startup businesses and entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services.

She said the trade fair is an opportunity for small business owners to gain visibility, connect with potential customers, investors, and network with other business partners.
