Abia State Government has extolled the Minister of Trade and Investment, Dr. Okechukwu Enelamah, for being ever supportive to the State in ensuring Abia gets its share of democracy dividends from the Federal Government.
The Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, who disclosed this in a chat with journalists in his office today, adjudged Dr. Enelamah as one of the best Ministers in the President Muhammadu Buhari’s led administration citing his contributions in attracting the Ruyi Group, a Chinese-based Textile Manufacturing Industry to invest in Abia State.
Kalu lauded the Minister’s non partisan nature despite being a cabinet member in the All Progressives Congress, APC, led government adding that he has been working closely with the Abia State government.
“Enelamah helped us to attract a #2.5billion dollar Ruyi factory business. At the point where we required the Federal Government affirmation, the Minister contributed immensely to ensure Abia got a fair and better share of what it wanted.
“Even the Liberra shoe factory under construction now at Obuaku City, Enelamah was instrumental to its set up, including the signing of the Enyimba Economic City project that will be sited in Aba soon, Honestly for me, Enelamah is the best Minister we’ve had”, Kalu declared.
He equally noted that Enelamah played a pivotal role in the geometric power system that is needed to beef-up and stabilize power supply in Ariaria International market, Aba and it’s environs, adding that the geometric system is set to start functioning in the month of June this year.
Kalu who further described Dr. Enelamah as a brilliant and intelligent Minister who has never politicized or gambled with the democracy dividends meant for Abians for selfish gains stated that he has always demonstrated a high sense of responsibility in partnering with Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s led government to attract good dividends to the State.
The Commissioner however noted that Abia Government is pleased to have him as their son and representative adding that he is the kind of Abian that poistions of sort should be entrusted with.
