Member representing Obingwa East State constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly and the Majority Leader of the House, Hon.Barr. Solomon Akpulonu, says for the past 29 years of existence Abia has experienced a tremendous shift in virtually all the sectors of the economy.

Speaking with our correspondent at the Abia Assembly complex, Akpulonu, commended the leadership of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for his achievements in infrastructural developments in the State especially at Aba the commercial nerve centre adding that other sectors were not left out.
Xraying further on the sectors that need attention, he urged the governor to focus more on Education and Health sectors of the State stressing that most government schools in the State lack teachers that handle core subjects hence suggests that capable hands should as a matter of urgency be employed to cover the loopholes in the education system.
Akpulonu also stated that various primary healthcare centres across the state should be made functional to aid in delivering quality health care services to Abians essentially at the grassroots.
While stressing on the relationship  between the legislature and the executive arms of the government of the State as cordial and peaceful, the Majority Leader implored the governor to deploy his political will to improve the internally generated revenue of the State to ensure it is independent of the Federal Allocation and assured that the House of Assembly as an institution is ever willing to do anything within the armbit of law to support the executive achieve the feat.
The legislator, therefore, congratulates Governor Ikpeazu and Abians at large on the 29years anniversary celebration of Abia State and urged the citizens to be patient and optimistic with the administration on board affirming that Abia must be better as the year goes by.
