Abia Governor’s Wife Flags Off Christmas Funfair for Children

The wife of the Governor of Abia state, Mrs. Priscilla Otti has flag off the Abia children christmas funfair party.

The Governor’s wife who marks the ceremony at the Broadcasting Corporation of Abia State playground in Umuahia the state capital said that the government of Abia state is committed to the safety, health and happiness of our children through its child friendly programmes.

 

Mrs. Otti who was represented by the wife of the deputy speaker of Abia House of Assembly, Mrs. Eucharia Okezie Mmeregini noted that the commitment of the Dr. Alex Otti led administration to our children is evidently expressed through regular deworming exercises, ensuring their well-being.

“Additionally, our passion extends to visiting motherless homes, exemplifying our duty to spread love and care to those who need it most.

 

We consistently conduct vaccination exercises, including HPV, and sensitize our communities on gender-based violence, preparing the younger generation for a violence-free future.

 

However, to the children present, I am here to offer an advice to you on embracing kindness, resilience, and curiosity. Kindly pursue your dreams with determination, knowing each of you has the power to make a positive impact in the world” she said.

 

In her remarks, the Acting Director General of BCA, Mrs. Esther Agu anyanwu said that this year children’s christmas funfair is done in collaboration with the De – Latinos Concept to give the children a memorable fun filled christmas.

Also the chairman organising committee, Elder Jonathan Nwosu, said that the objective of the funfair is focused on creating a conducive environment for children to showcase their creativity, interact intellectually and experience the origin of christmas celebration in a special way.

 

Meanwhile, the representative of the De – Latinos Concept, Mr. Peterson Agu, said that the idea is to turn Abia state into a tourists destination where anyone can come and have fun.
