Abia Governor’s wife built house for a widow

The wife of Abia State Governor Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu has commissioned and handed over a 2, bedroom bungalow she built for Mrs. Janet Anyatonwu, a widow from Umuorji Ohanze in Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State.

Handing over the apartment keys to the beneficiary, the Governor’s wife who was represented by Dr. Kate Ndukuba said that though playing a complimentary role to the Governor, that passion to care for the needy, widows and the girl child drove her to establish the Vicar Hope Foundation to ameliorate and impact lives in the society.

Speaking with National Ambassador, a woman leader from Umuorji Community in Ohanze, Mrs. Ukanwa Nwakanma said that it is a great thing that this is happening in a life time of Mama Janet.

We use to hear about these kind of things from afar but today it is happening real in our communities and we are happy to celebrate it.

“I thank the wife of the Governor and her Vicar Hope team for the kind gesture they have shown to our mother by putting a roof over her head, we are really grateful”.

However, the elated Mama Janet who the house was built for although aged cannot hide her joy as she dance round and round giving glory to God.

She thanked the Governor’s wife for remembering her.
