Abia gets two new Permanent Secretaries

Two new Permanent Secretaries have been sworn into the Abia State Civil Service.

They are: Sir Uchenna Dike and Comrade Christopher Okpara.

Speaking at the ceremony held at Government House, Umuahia, Governor Ikpeazu while noting that the task ahead of them demands dedication,charged the new Permanent Secretaries to show deep commitment to the assignment of taking Abia state to the next level of development through the civil service.

Describing their appointment as a strategic milestone in their career and service to fatherland which demands seriousness,the governor pointed out that the task of taking Abia State to the next level is sacred and stressed the need for the Permanent Secretaries to work diligently in ensuring that the State secures sustainable future for its teaming populace.

He called on the newly sworn-in Permanent Secretaries to lead by example adding that the success and failures of government depend largely on them.

Governor Ikpeazu who further called on them to show loyalty to God and to the State at all times as well as uphold government policies,expressed confidence that they will acquit themselves creditably in the discharge of their duties.

In his acceptance speech on behalf of his colleague, Sir Uchenna Dike assured the Governor of their loyalty and commitment in the development of the State through effective service delivery.

He appreciated the Governor for appointing them as Permanent Secretaries, describing it as rare privilege and promised not to disappoint the government and people of the State.
