Abia Foremost Traditional Ruler Clocks 93 Amidst Jubilation

 

One of Abia foremost Traditional rulers, His Imperial Majesty, Eze Dr Isaac Ajuonu Ikonne,the Enyi 1 of Aba, has celebrated 93 years of age and 49th year on the throne amidst jubilation.

The event which took place at his Royal White Palace,Faulks Road Aba, attracted the presence of the Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu,represented by the SSG, Barr Chris Ezem,the Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prof Placid Njoku,Minister of Labour and Productivity, Dr Chris Ngige and his Mines and Steel Counterpart, Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, Senator Chris Adighije,Chief Reagan Ofomba, Traditional rulers,House of Assembly Members, Local Government Chairmen,among other notable digitaries.

In his speech, the Abia State State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu thanked God for sparing the life of the royal father for the past 93 and as well for making him celebrate his 49th year on the traditional stool.

The Governor represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Chris Ezem,prayed God to grant grace to the traditional ruler.

The Minister of Labour and Productivity, Dr Chris Ngige in his remarks, congratulated the oldest traditional ruler in Abia state for clocking 93.

According to him, 93 years is a milestone achievement, adding that the traditional ruler has been instrumental to the peace and development in the state and Nigeria at large.

In an interview, the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, represented by Hon Luke Akara, described 93 years as a feat which any one would aspire to be, prayed God to grant the traditional ruler long life and wisdom to pilot the affairs of his kingdom.

Also,the member representing Aba North State Constituency, Hon Aaron Uzodike, congratulated the royal father on his birthday, wishing him more blessings that goes with old age.

The PDP chairman of Aba South Local Government Area,Chief Sunny Onyembi, described Eze Ikonne as a centurion, whose reign as the Enyi 1 of Aba,has contributed to the peaceful coexistence in the area.

Interacting with one of the sons, Prince Aham Ikonne, expressed joy that the father is alive to witness his 49th year on the throne and 93rd birthday, wishing him strength and sound health to witness more goodness from his maker.
