Abia First Lady Prays For Peaceful Coexistence In Abia

The wife of Abia Governor, Mrs Priscilla Otti, has joined Abia women in prayer for peaceful coexistence of all and the development of the state.

Addressing Abia women in a prayer summit organised by Life Savers Ambassadors International at the Aba Sports Club recently tagged “Abia Women Prays” the Governor’s wife said that what our women have gathered here today to do is in tandem with the biblical injunction that we should pray without ceasing, therefore this special prayer programme is a continuation and consolidation of what we have been doing over the years, praying to God to enable us reclaim our state and make life better for our people through responsible leadership.

The Abia First Lady, also explained that this action of praying for peace in the state is in sync with the actions at the polls shortly before the inauguration of Dr. Alex Otti as the Governor of the state as it clearly manifest the importance of God in this administration.

In her words, “it is therefore very thoughtful of our women to have come up with this commendable initiative geared towards the betterment of the state and her indigenes”.

According to her, ” the Alex Otti led government is one that is poised to supporting women to make visible impacts in the governance and development of the state, hence my assurance to you that my office would partner with you to realize our shared vision of building a prosperous and livable Abia “.

However, Mrs. Otti, commended the life savers Ambassadors International, adding that she is convinced that the organisation would continue to use the instrument of prayer to represent Abia positively and saves lives at all fronts.

Earlier, the President of Life Savers Ambassadors International, Dr. Juanita Nwandu, after presenting a plaque recognizing the first lady as an Ambassador, said that they organised the prayer to reposition Abia in the hand of God.

According to her, “today is a new dawn for Abia state because we can not liberate other states and have Abia left behind, so we have prayed and at the same time handed Abia back to God for proper guidance, directions and growth.
