ABIA D.GOV. FLAGS OFF NDI IDIMA, NDI EMEME BOUNDARY DEMARCATION.

Abia State Deputy Governor, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, has flagged off the mapping and demarcation of the boundary between Ndi Idima Abam and Ndi Ememe Abam in Arochukwu Local Government Area with a call on both parties to give their full cooperation to the state Boundary Technical Committee towards fulfilling the mandate given to them by the State Government.

Speaking during the exercise, the Deputy Governor Emetu who doubles as the Chairman of the Abia State Committee on Boundary Matters, assured of the committee’s commitment to be fair with true judgment in the mapping and demarcation of the disputed boundary.

He stated that there is an urgent need for the committee to attend to internal boundary disputes for the good and peace of the people.

His words, “The government of Dr Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, is one with a human face and does not condone any act or practice inimical to the socio-eco-political development of the state. There must be a lasting peace and harmony among communities in the State “.

In his speech, the State Consultant/team leader of Abia State Boundary technical Committee, Surv. Chris Nwanevu described the Deputy Governor as a man who walks the talk as he led the committee for an on-the-spot assessment of the area, a first of its kind in the state.

In his speech,the Ezeogo NdiEmeme Abam ,Ezeogo Kalu Ikwuagwu appreciated the present administration led Governor Alex Otti for intervening in the lingering boundary dispute expressing confidence that peace has been restored in the community.
