The Sole Administrator, Abia State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, ASOPADEC, Sir. Emeka Stanley has expressed optimism that the Abia state Children Specialist Hospital, Umuahia will also reduce to its barest minimum infant and maternal mortality rate among women and children.
Speaking during the commissioning of the Abia state Children Specialist Hospital, Umuahia , Sir. Stanley, further pointed out that the facility will also address other health challenges among children.
He observed that the health facility has all that is needed to function effectively, including the state of the art facilities to take care of special cases concerning Children and mothers
While pointing out that the facility will give the people accessible and affordable health care, he applauded Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for changing the narratives in the healthcare system through the provision of quality medical facilities across the state.
Stanley commended Governor Ikpeazu for deploying resources and strategies to procure world class equipment and specialists to man the facility for the benefit of Ndi-Abia.
He urged managers of the facility to put the facilities into good use.
