Abia at 27: I’ll anchor my work on Abia founding father’s vision- Gov. Ikpeazu

Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has commended the efforts of Abia founding fathers who enunciated the Abia charter of equity and promised to work in tandem with their vision for a better Abia.

The Governor stated this at the 27th Anniversary of the state held at the International Conference Center, Umuahia.

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu said the day calls for sober reflection and retrospect of how far the state have come,explaining that its significance stems from the improvements recorded in the year.

Describing Abia as the most peaceful state,Ikpeazu noted that no meaningful development can take place in an atmosphere of rancor and disunity and thanked major stakeholders in the state for their
support.

He commended the efforts and resilience of Abia’s past leaders and founding fathers on whose shoulders the journey to a better Abia began.

The Governor who assured that he will not fail Abians called on them to put Abia first in order to secure a better future.

He used the forum to present the best Abia performing students in WAEC from the three senatorial zones with cash awards of one million naira each.

The Highpoint of the event was the cutting of the anniversary cake and awards of different categories to deserving sons and daughters of the state.
