The Member representing Umuahia Central State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Engr. Chinedum Orji, has said that his commitment to impacting on people’s lives is a decision to leave a legacy that posterity will emulate.
Orji who stated this yesterday at Glorious Royal Rock Liberation Assembly Church, located at Ward 3, his constituency, said he was not in the church for campaign purposes but had discovered that governance is not just representing the people but to share in their plights and provide succour where necessary.
Engr. Orji who is also the Majority Leader in the Abia House of Assembly further noted that the brain behind his Direct Touch project is to take democracy dividends direct to the grassroots.
He stated that since he was elected as a Lawmaker in the Abia House of Assembly, he had sponsored many bills that have now become laws in the State noting that his empowerment projects cut across his constituency and Abia at large stating that he did not embark on such projects to be hailed by anybody but to meet the vital needs of the people.
The Majority Leader, however felicitated with the members of Glorious Royal Rock Liberation Assembly on their 8th anniversary celebration and stated that the church is very committed to service to God and Mankind especially in delivering erring souls and in praying for the well being of Nigerians in general.
While urging the church to be relentless in their efforts in praying for their Leaders as an injunction from the Bible, Engr. Orji, enjoined them to get their Permanent voter cards ready and vote in candidates according to their conscience and based on the level of impact on people.
Earlier, the General Overseer of the Commission, Royal Rock Assembly, Pastor Ifeanyichukwu Mezue, had said that they were celebrating eight years of God’s faithfulness and Favour upon them as a church adding that they had suffered numerous trials and temptations that would have made the Commission to crumble but God gave them victory in all.
He thanked all the guests that graced their occasion and prayed for God to see them through in all their endeavors.
