The Deputy Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Austin Okezie, has identified with the Councilor, representing Ibeku East Ward 1 in Umuahia North Local Government Council, Chief Chidi Echereobia, describing him as an astute grassroot leader.
Okezie who disclosed this during the Thanksgiving Service Ceremony of the Local Government legislator to honour God for his emergence during the Local Government Election, stated that Chief Chidi Echereobia’s emergence was a divine arrangement from God hence his thanksgiving to him.
The Deputy Speaker, however, commended Chief Echereobia for his outstanding achievements and dedication to the development of Ibeku East Ward 1 and emphasized the importance of grassroot leadership in driving meaningful progress.
He therefore reaffirmed his willingness to work with the Councilor and to align and support his initiatives aimed at improving the lives in Umuahia East State Constituency.
Also Speaking, the Executive Chairman of Umuahia North Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Smart Iheoma, described Chief Echereobia as a pragmatic leader, noting that he is one of the pillars in the legislative arm of the council.
The Umuahia North Mayor, therefore, underscored the spirit of positive collaboration among leaders in Umuahia North Local Government Area, noting that unity and shared goals remains essential in sustainable development.
Earlier in his speech, the Councilor representing Ibeku East Ward 1 in the Umuahia North Local Government Council, Chief Chidi Echereobia, said he came with his family and political friends to God for choosing him to represent his Ward and the good people of Ibeku East Ward 1 in the Council.
He further expressed gratitude to the State Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti for his quality leadership skills in piloting the affairs of God’s Own State, Abia, and thanked his allies the Deputy Speaker, Abia Assembly, Rt. Hon. Austin Okezie and the Executive Chairman of Umuahia North, Hon. Smart Iheoma among other council and State dignitaries that graced the occasion.
While pledging to work with the Deputy Speaker, Rt.Hon. Austin Okezie, the Councilor further promised the people of his Ward and Umuahia East State Constituency at large to be confident in them stating that present administration in Local Government and State Government levels will put smiles in their faces with laudable developmental strides
