Abia Apex Youth Body Honours Hon Taribo, Commends His Leadership Style

The Deputy Majority Leader, Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Taribo Paul, has been honoured with Platinum Award of Excellence in Humanitarian Services by National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN).

Speaking during NYCN Abia South zone Entrepreneurship/Security Summit in Aba recently, the Abia State Chairman, NYCN, Comrade Smith O. Sylvanus disclosed that the apex youth body after thoroughly examing other legislators within the state, found out that the member representing Ukwa-East State Constituency has distinguished himself through his selfless and humanitarian services to his constituents.

The youth boss who further commended Hon. Taribo for his leadership style, noted that the lawmaker has carved a niche for himself in the area of education (bursary to students), health, Human Capital Development among others highlighting that Ndoki youths and women are most of the beneficiaries.

In his reaction, Hon. Taribo Paul, thanked Abia youths for finding him worthy for such an honour, adding that he would continue to prioritize the welfare of Ndoki youths and carry them in the scheme of things.

Receiving the award on behalf of Hon. Paul Taribo, Comrade Emmanuel Akparanta commended Abia NYCN chairman, Comrade Sylvanus, noting that the youth boss has improved the image of youths in the state unlike what was seen in the past.

Hon. Taribo who maintained that the award would spur him to do more, promised to devote more of his resources to the course of humanity to the glory of God.

Personalities also honoured by NYCN include the former chairman, Abia State Oil Producing Areas and Development Commission (ASOPADEC), Rt. Hon. Emeka Stanley, former federal lawmaker, Hon. Eziuche Ubani, Majority leader, Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Solomon Akpulonu, chairman Obingwa LGA, Hon. Michael Ibe Nwoke, the chairman, NYCN Abia State, Comrade Engr. Smith O. Sylvanus, among others.
