GLORIA NANYA AKARA is a Lawyer, Pastor, Writer, Administrator and Social Activist. She was born on 22nd August, 1960 in Vom, Plateau State Nigeria to Mr & Mrs Joseph Vonkur Kumbin. Her father was a Chief Nursing Superintendent/Medical Missionary of the renowned Vom Christian Hospital run by the British, and her mother a Business Woman/Missionary.

Has served in various capacities both in Nigeria and internationally in Brazil, USA, UK, Europe and within the African continent as a Minister of God, International Conference Speaker, Missionary, Teacher, Prophetess, Editor and Administrator for over 30 years since she came into Ministry in 1989.
Has served as Legal Adviser, State Executive of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Rivers State 2010 -2014; Legal Adviser, Christian Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (CPFN)/Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) Rivers State Executive 2010 – 2014 and also as a Delegate Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Rivers State 2013. Has been engaged in Community Affairs and Service since the 1990s. TV Host of Glorious Family Programme. Also features in Felix Akara Music/Heritage Dynasty Music And Videos.
Currently serves as a Trustee and Legal Adviser of God’s Heritage Ministries international (1991 till date); and Vice President, Heritage School of Music & Theology, Port Harcourt, Nigeria (2018 till date), all in a voluntary capacity.

FAMILY LIFE She is married to Rev. Dr Felix Akara, the Founding Minister and General Overseer of God’s Heritage Ministries International, a TV Minister, famous Gospel Artiste and President General of the Ndoki Ethnic Nationality located in the three states of Abia, Rivers and Akwa ibom. She is blessed with six children – four lawyers, one law graduate and an engineering undergraduate.
HOBBIES: Music, acting, song writing, fashion designing and sports.
