Abia 8th Assembly: Erondu Jnr, Others Inaugurated, Promises Effective Representation

The member representing Obingwa-West State Constituency in Abia State House of Assembly (ABHA), Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr and other members have been inaugurated as state legislators.

Speaking with newsmen shortly after the inauguration at Umuahia, Abia state, the lawmaker thanked God for the privilege given to him to serve his people in a new capacity, adding that he would not take it for granted.

Erondu Jnr maintained that the mandate given to him by his constituents is a sacred one, promising to use everything at his disposal to effectively represent them as well as to synergize to attract dividends of democracy to his people.

In his words: “My primary concern is to effectively serve the good people of Obingwa-West state constituency and Abians who have honoured me with their votes and also promote and protect their interest and welfare at all times”.

Meanwhile, the member representing Aba South State Constituency, Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa, has been elected the Speaker of the Abia State 8th Assembly.

Emeruwa was unanimously elected after the member for representing Aba Central State Constituency, Hon. Ucheonye Akachukwu nominated him.

In another development, the member representing Umuahia-East state constituency, Hon. Austin Okezie Nmeregini, also emerged as the Deputy Speaker of Abia 8th Assembly after his nomination by member representing Arochukwu State Constituency, Hon. Okoro Uchenna.
