Abia @ 32: Otti Calls On Church To Sustain Partnership, Prayers For Present Administration

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti has called on the Church to sustain their partnership and prayers for the present administration to enable them excel in effecting a new dawn of progressive change in the State.

Dr. Otti who made the call during a Special Thanksgiving Service organized to mark the 32nd anniversary of the creation of Abia State held at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Umuahia Township District Headquarters, Aguiyi Ironsi layout, Umuahia expressed optimism that with their fervent prayers, they will be able to surmount all the challenges of bad governance they met on inception.

The Governor represented by his Deputy, Chief Ikechukwu Emetu noted with delight that within the over two months of mounting the saddle of leadership, lots of positive change and good things have started happening in the State and urged Abians to exercise patience and have faith in Government’s resolve to put things right.

In her remarks, the wife of the Governor, Mrs. Pricilla Alex Otti who described the service as a period of Thanksgiving to God for ushering in a new dawn of hope in Abia State, having being at crossroads for years and assured of greater and better things in the years ahead.

In his Sermon Earlier, the District Pastor, Umuahia Township District of the SDA, Pastor Samuel Egbuta who pointed out that favours of God opens opportunity into one’s life, adding that one touch of God’s Favour can turn things around for good in the life of individuals, the State, nation and society and explained that Abians are rejoicing as a result of the manifestation of God’s Favour in the State.

Preaching on the topic,”Favour Of God”, Pastor Egbuta listed keys to obtaining God’s Favour to include, love for God and mankind, hating what God hates, giving acceptable gifts and offerings to God, faithfulness, submission, honesty and righteousness among others and thanked God for what he has done so far since the present administration came on board.
