The wife of the governor Mrs Priscilla Otti has distributed gifts and cash donations to motherless homes in the state. Some of the homes include Ngwa Road Motherless Home Aba, SDA Motherless Gobo Hill, Uzuakoli Motherless Home, Bende and Ahiaeke Motherless Homes in Umuahia the capital city.
She commended the management of the orphanages for their selfless services and charged the caregivers and managers of the homes to continue training the children.
The Abia First Lady assured them that the present administration is focused on uplifting the welfare of the downtrodden to give them a sense of belonging.
The Governor’s wife stated that her office will partner with them in order to alleviate the suffering of the inmates through donations, assistance to the homes.
Responding on behalf of the Motherless Homes, Mr. James Amaechi of Ngwa Road Motherless Home and Dr. Chinonyerem Ehuka of SDA Motherless thanked the wife of the governor for her visit and prayed for the success of the present government.
