The Uche Ndi Abia Campaign Organization Isiala Ngwa South LGA chapter has been inaugurated with a promise to ensure the victory of Professor Uchenna Eleazar Ikonne and other People’s Democratic Party candidates in the 2023 elections.
Speaking during the inauguration of Local Government,Ward and polling booth coordinators, the coordinator of Uche Ndi Abia Campaign Organization in Isiala Ngwa South, Elder Chinagorom Nwankpa, said that Isiala Ngwa South was poised to record victory for Professor Uche Ikonne and all PDP candidates
He expressed confidence in the caliber of people in the campaign structure and promised to work collectively with the party and other relevant leaders and groups to achieve success.
Elder Nwankpa thanked the Isiala Ngwa South stakeholders, PDP and members of the campaign organization for the support in organizing a successful inauguration.
Administering Oath of Allegiance, the State PDP Gubernatorial candidate, Professor Uche Ikonne reminded them of their roles as the foot soldiers of the campaign council and warned them against anti-party activities.
Professor Ikonne encouraged them to mobilize support his candidature and vote PDP all the way.
The Director General Uche Ndi Abia Campaign Organization Rt. Hon Chinedum Elechi, had earlier charged the LGA, Ward and Booth coordinators in Isiala Ngwa South to be committed in ensuring total victory for Professor Uche Ikonne and PDP.
Also speaking, the Deputy Director General Uche Ndi Abia Campaign Organization, Abia Central, Chief Udo Oluchi Ibeji charged them to win more members to the team and to take their assignment serious.
Responding on behalf of the inaugurated ward coordinators the former Transition Chairman in Isiala Ngwa South and coordinator Uche Ndi Abia Campaign Organization in Ovungwo Ward 8 Hon Nnaemeka Nwaogu, promised that they will work assiduously in making sure that PDP records victory for Professor Ikonne and all PDP candidates.
Hon Nwaogu expressed gratitude to the campaign organization for finding them fit to serve, adding that they will not betray the trust reposed in them.
In their speeches, the acting chairman Isiala Ngwa South Stakeholders Forum, Elder John Erendu, Executive Chairman Isiala Ngwa South LGA Comrade Ike Anyatonwu, the PDP chairman Isiala Ngwa South, Chief Edwin Ihejirika, the General Manager CSDP, Dr. Chinatu Njoku and state director Uche Ndi Abia, PDP Chairman Isiala Ngwa South, Sir Edwin Ihejirika and the PDP candidate for Isiala Ngwa South State Constituency, Mr. Rowland Chinwendu Dennis, assured of massive support for Professor Ikonne and all PDP candidates.
In a vote of thanks, Secretary Isiala Ngwa South Stakeholders Forum Chief Remigius Nji, thanked Professor Uche Ikonne and Uche Ndi Abia Campaign Organization for the inauguration and promised that the people of Isiala Ngwa South were solidly behind the campaign organization of Professor Ikonne.
The PDP governorship candidate, his deputy and his entourage paid homage to the traditional rulers in the local government at the palace of Chairman, Isiala Ngwa South Traditional Rulers Council Eze G. N Nwankpa ,were they unanimously endorsed the candidature of Professor Uche Ikonne.
Professor Ikonne and his entourage was later hosted on inauguration reception at Ochikaraibe Lodge Ikem Nvosi where heavy crowds of youths and women from Ikem Osokwa Nvosi led by Mrs Ijeoma Ogbonna and Mr Chinaza Ukaegbu pledged their total support and commitment to PDP.
A royal blessing from Akajiala of Nvosi and the traditional ruler of Osokwa Autonomous Community, His Royal Majesty, Eze Solomon Nwakwue was poured on the PDP governorship candidate and his running mate.
