Abia 2023: ADC drums support, assures members of Transparency

African Democratic Congress (ADC), has called on Abians to keep faith with their party and it’s candidates come 2023 general elections, maintaining that they have all it takes to change the fortune of the state.

Speaking with journalists in Umuahia, Abia state, the Abia state chairman of ADC, Mr Don N. Obinna, said, the primary election of all the contestants will be held this week and it will be done with transparency.

According to him: “We must ensure fairness, equity in selecting all the party aspirants for the 2023 general election”

He further stated: “If you claim to be a political party and you are unable to conduct a credible in-house elections where credible candidates of people’s choice will emerge, certainly, you do not have credibility to provide good governance”.

The ADC chairman further said that
the party is structured to serve the people, insisting that the people deserve the best.

“It is a party with no God father and this will enable our members who are elected into elective position to serve the people and give in their best with out fear or favour”, he further remarked.

Obinna further disclosed that the party does not welcome those aggrieved , highlighting that their party, ADC, is a party that follows due process.

The ADC boss further said that ADC is a party for Ndi Abia were the interest of the people is discussed and that the party has carefully selected credible candidates who will run for both gubernatorial in the likes of Bishop Dr Sunday Onuoha and Mr Otisi Ebitu Ukiwe and senatorial position ,Hon. John Abraham Godson and Mr. Frankline Ikenna Nwaubani, who he claimed are seasoned and can take the state to a greater height if elected.

He, therefore, urged those who are yet to get their Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) to do so, insisting that it is in the hands of Abians to select and elect their leaders.
