An appraisal of our legislators in the 8th Abia State House of Assembly at this time is a call in the right direction. It will help the electorate to know the seat warmers and those who know the reason(s) why they are in the House.
My focus is on the member representing Obingwa West State Constituency in the 8th Abia House of Assembly, Hon. Erondu Uchenna Erondu. This new legislator is showing himself approved in the floor of the house. He is doing the needful amidst the leadership tussle orchestrated by the ruling party in the state.
Hon. Erondu in this early stage has shown commitment and doggedness in making sure his legislative activities in the floor of the house have a positive reflection in the lives of his people. Hon. Erondu, being a first timer has moved a motion which even the Federal Government was in agreement to.
His call for the Federal Government to suspend the newly proposed electricity tariff bill which was to take effect from July 2023, is one Abians will never forget in a hurry.
This sterling performance of Hon. Erondu Uchenna Erondu in this early stage is a testimony that he is on the right track of achieving his electoral promises.
Before now, the new legislator has shown capacity in the development of his Constituency. Hon. Erondu, through his “Igodo Igwe Foundation”, has empowered many youths in his Constituency through skills acquisition programs, some of them are on scholarship. He has also provided medical care to the elderly.
With this early signs, Obingwa West State Constituency is yet to see the best of Hon. Erondu Uchenna Erondu in the 8th Abia State House of Assembly.
